Embark on a 4-day journey to Murchison Falls National Park, Uganda’s largest and oldest protected area, where nature and wildlife thrive in breathtaking harmony. This iconic park is home to over 451 bird species and 76 mammal species, including elephants, lions, giraffes, hippos, and crocodiles.

The park is divided by the mighty Victoria Nile, forming the northern and southern banks and setting the stage for one of Africa’s most dramatic natural wonders—Murchison Falls. Here, the river surges through an 8-meter-wide gorge and plunges 45 meters down the rocks, creating a powerful and thunderous cascade.

Throughout this nature-focused adventure, you’ll enjoy scenic game drives, guided nature walks, an unforgettable boat cruise along the Nile, and a hike to the top of the falls, offering incredible views and a deep connection with the wild savannah landscape.

Itinerary

Day 1: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park via Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary

Your adventure begins with an early breakfast and a detailed briefing by your safari guide about the exciting 4-day journey ahead. You’ll then set off from your hotel, heading north toward Murchison Falls National Park, Uganda’s largest conservation area.

Your first stop is the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, the only place in Uganda where you can see wild rhinos. After a short briefing, a local guide will lead you into the bush for rhino tracking—an unforgettable 2–3 hour walk through open savannah in search of these endangered giants. It’s a rare opportunity to observe rhinos on foot at a safe distance in their natural habitat.

After the trek, enjoy lunch and continue your scenic drive through Masindi town, entering the southern sector of the park.

In the late afternoon, you’ll visit the iconic Top of the Falls, where the powerful Nile River squeezes through a narrow 8-meter gorge and plunges 45 meters, creating a roaring spectacle of mist and rainbows. Take in the views, snap photos, and soak in the drama of this natural wonder.

From here, you’ll proceed to your lodge for check-in, a relaxing evening, and your overnight stay in the heart of the wild.
