Embark on a breathtaking 4-day journey through one of Africa’s most unique and dramatic landscapes—the Rwenzori Mountains, famously known as the “Mountains of the Moon.” This short but immersive trekking experience takes you deep into the heart of the park, culminating at John Matte Camp (3,505m), where misty ridges, glacier-fed streams, and alpine vistas await. Ideal for adventurous hikers who want a taste of Rwenzori’s rugged beauty without summiting Margherita Peak, this route delivers both challenge and wonder.
Led by experienced and certified guides, this trek covers diverse ecological zones—ranging from lowland rainforest and bamboo groves to the giant heather and afro-alpine zone. Along the way, you’ll spot endemic bird species, primates like black-and-white colobus monkeys, and perhaps even elusive forest elephants. Whether you’re a nature lover, a mountain enthusiast, or a photographer, this journey will leave you inspired and rejuvenated.
